I think I can safely say that what we want for our children is for them to be happy, to be successful, to be confident, to love themselves for the completely unique individuals that they are.
And these things can be very elusive. I know that it took me a very long to figure out how to have these things.
As a parent I know from experience that it can be hard to facilitate these things in our own children. Parent can't be it all for their children all of the time, nor do I think they should be. It is valuable to have lots of different inputs from lots of different adults in a child's life.
I'm not saying that you children's life will only be filled with goodness. What I'm hoping is that they have tools that they can use to deal with anything the comes their way.
"To help young women/ teenage girls become confident, creative, powerful problem solvers for themselves and the world. And to have fun doing it."
My Mission Statement
"I wish that every child would be listened to, encouraged and respected-and that they would continue to be treated that way for the rest of their lives".
